Peace Is Coming!

Today is Good Friday. This may not be what you think of when you think of Easter. This short video is about an awesome painter that told a story with his painting. With our Country the way it is and where we are heading, "One Nation Under God" by Jon McNaughton reminds us of where we have come from and what Jesus did for us and is still doing! I hope you will take two minutes of your time to look at this short video and reflect on what this day means and the true meaning of Easter. Please take a close up look at this painting, you won't be sorry. www.mcnaughtonart.com

Quilted Nook Clutch

Thanks to Angie Juda and her instructions on making this little bag. It will work great as a wallet or coupon holder as well. I received a Nook by Barnes and Noble for Christmas and this little clutch fit perfectly. Then I purchased a leather cover to further protect my Nook and now my little bag is too little so I will have to make it a tad bigger at some point. I made the purple one for my daughter's Nook. These were made using the Big Shot Scallop Square die!! I love being able to cut 8 pieces of fabric at one time with the Big Shot. Order yours today at www.gmansfield.stampinup.net

Hi Stamping friends! I have a very busy week with traveling and meetings. We went out of town yesterday to meet our son's future in-laws! We had a wonderful time and they are wonderful people! I wish we lived closer to them so we could get together more often. Then today was getting ready for my weight loss support group that I recently started. Tomorrow I have a quilting class. Wednesday is packing and Thursday we leave to go see my daughter! I am excited to finally give her the rest of her Christmas presents and her birthday presents! Then we start back on Sunday and stop to meet my Mother in Law for surgery on Monday and finally home on Tuesday! Are you as exhausted as I am? I will do my best to get a few posts in there for you. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers!

Weight Loss Support Group Incentives!

My Mother in Law and I recently started a weight loss support group at our church. I thought we needed some incentives and rewards for weight loss and this is what I came up with. Little tokens that are awarded for each weight loss achievement and they are added to a little book ring that can be attached to any bag or keyring! I also made a book mark for everyone to attach their little stickers we hand out each week for daily accomplishments, like exercising, tracking in your food diary, etc. We are also having drawings each week for little prizes. I think it will be a great group and that we will meet our goals!
